Clay Clay's accident.

Well last night I got the word that my "baby" 11 year old cousin Clayton was in a dirt bike accident.
I call him my baby cousin since he is my youngest cousin.

But

He was in a accident yesterday riding his dirt bike. He ran into a girl (she was riding a four-wheeler) head on, he flew 15 feet in the air and landed on his back.

He broke his arm in many places and tore his leg apart. They had to air flight him to Memphis hospital which is a hour drive from where they live.

He went into surgery which took almost 3 hours. They were able to fix his arm, but not completely his leg so they will have surgery again tomorrow to try to finish fixing his leg.

My aunt said his leg injury is the size of a salad plate and down to the bone.

So I ask that you keep him in your prayers that he has a quick and speedy recovery.

Wow!!!

My Oh My Where have I been?!?!?!

It appears I have neglected the blog world. Is everyone still alive?

Life has been CRAZY lately. "To the chief Musician" Music conference was last week and there were days where I didn't see my husband all day. Along with meeting new friends and visiting with old ones I had a blast.

I also started a etsy shop. Stop on by and visit me and my handiwork.

Sorry that this blog is so short, but I am just to tired to write. :-)

Inspirations

Well I was Inspired!!!

I have recently fell in love with wearing brooches.
So I wanted to figure out how to make them and how much it would cost me.

I finally got around to going out to Joann's and buying the stuff to make them. I just so happened to go during their "Daffodil Dash" aka a sale. I got everything that I needed to start for cheap. So Yesterday and today i made four brooches and love them all. Here are the pictures of them, I cant wait to make more!

Owie!!!! and some other stuff.

Well, Can I say

What a week!!!!

It all started out with a wonderful Easter! Which then led into Western District Youth Convention, but this whole week was a blur. With my hubby being a pastor and as all you pastor's wife's know being a pastor come with multiple jobs. Along with being on call to Pastor Haney to edit video at anytime, he also as all his internet stuff to keep up with which include editing the service from Sunday morning on Sunday afternoon and uploading it. He also teaches two classes at SCS (our Christian School)...Computer and Journalism, along with more jobs that I lost count at.

The yearbook he is working on is due Monday, well he still has 20 pages or more to do along with it being approved by the staff. So between him working on the yearbook and working in media for Convention I haven't seen him much this week.

So I had plans today to get up make breakfast, clean the house then go shopping and later go to dinner with fam for my brothers birthday. Well for breakfast I made a smoothie, Jeff had been a sweety and did the dishes. When going to get a container out of the dish rack to put the smoothie away I hit my hand on a knife that was sticking out. I sliced it open and when I say open I mean OPEN. It didn't go deep but across. I went frantic, we have no band aids in this house and while trying to figure out what to do I almost past out. I was seeing stars and getting cold swets. My wonderful hubby got me to sit down, wrapped my finger and put a cold towel on my head. When I was back to normal, he ran to CVS and got band aids.

So if you see me in church with a funky looking hand you now know why.

Its my right hand and I do everything with my right hand, my left one is like dead. So this shall be interesting.

I would show you a picture but its nasty and I don't want to gross anyone out. So once it heals up you can see the scar until then Enjoy the band aid.

I hope you have had a better week than me!

In his Arms Now

Last Tuesday night my cousins baby girl closed her eyes only to open them in Jesus' arms.

Paige was only 3months old.
It is believed she died from SIDS.

She was with my aunt (her grandma), after she fell asleep my aunt laid her on the couch only to go back a lil while later to find her not breathing. They did a autopsy, but we wont know anything for a couple of weeks.

As sad as I am for my family I know she is in better arms. She would have had a very rough life here.

My cousin has mental problems, so right now my aunt is trying to get custody of the two older girls, Faith and April. Their father is only around when he feels like it.So, yes Paige is better off is Jesus' arms.

I ask that you would continue to Pray for my family and especially my Aunt Karen, Cousin Tara and her lil girls Faith and April.

I'm Home!!!

Well, Im home!

I had a blast with Audrina and Kylee, but I missed my hubby. Prepare yourself for a long

blog because I have a lot to say :)

When I got to Palm Springs it was HOT so the sweater I was wearing came off fast! We went to lunch at a place called Babe's where Kylee HAS to take a picture with the Big Pig they have. So here are the pictures we took.

Afterward we went shopping because where Audrina lives there is no shopping what so ever.

Where she lives it is sand and cactus. There is no grass unless you go on base. Its crazy! The closest Walmart is 45 minutes away, the closest Target or Mall is 2 hours away. Crazy right?

I had so much fun with my "sister" and "niece" we died eggs and spent time being together.
Here is some pics of our eggs

When it was time to come home I got to the airport 2 hours early only to find out that my plane was delayed 40 min so I had to wait a lot longer. When we were flying into Sac it was storming and once we it those cloud it was crazy! We circled the airport for 45 min. In the bumpy clouds.  It was crazy, the plane was shaking uncontrollably. I could see the reflection of the plane in the propeller cover and the landing gear wasn't coming down. So of coarse we were all freaking out. Seeing as we couldn't see a thing so we were in the blind.

Finally we saw the runway and I breathed a sigh of relieve. When we touched down everyone clapped. The guy siting next to me said he has flown thousands of times and nobody has ever clapped. So to say the least I was so glad to just to see the airport.

All in all I had a great trip and was so glad to see Audrina and Kylee. I will miss the lil voice running around saying Auntie Katie. That kid is a character. Here are some final pics.

Good Bye Monday! Hello Vacation!

Yes, this is my second post for the day, but seeing as I dont think I blogged last week and the first blog was as special one ;-)

Well, tomorrow at 9am  I am boarding a plane to go see one of my besties! Audrina and my "niece" Kylee.
I cant wait to see them. One bad thing is it is mine and Jeffs first time apart since being married. BOOHOO lol

Jeff is having a hard time with it but they say absence makes the heart grow fonder ;-)

So I most likely wont be back on the blog world until Friday. Will you miss me? jk

Last week was a extremely busy week! You don't even know, Okay maybe you do. With Jeff working "multiple" jobs and I was working extra hours to make up for the time I will be off this week. So come Friday I was so thankful for Saturday. Then, Saturday was of my great friends Sarah got married and it was a very sweet wedding. Here is her and her new hubby!
On a final note, me and Jeff have been working on decorating our home. When we buy things we get it to work in a house some day. So a month ago we bought these nice frames on sale for our wedding pictures. I had other pictures on another wall of three of our engagement pictures and other ones of our friends. Well those frames looked TERRIBLE compared to the news ones.

So my sweet hubby bought me some of the same ones for the other pictures. We changed some of the pictures and included our closest friends in each picture. We love them, take a look!
Well, I shall see you when I return from Palm Springs. Have a great week.

A spark can start a fire....

Did you know a small spark can start a fire???

I know your probably saying "Where in the world is she going with that statement?"

Well, Three years ago I was searching High and Low for a job. I was determinded to get a office job. I kept saying I will never work in fast food. Well like my grammie says never say never. Something inside of me kept saying apply at In-n-Out. Ofcoarse I kept saying "I'll never work at fast food." HAHA Well I kept going for interviews at other places and could never get a job. I prayed about it and again something kept telling me go apply at In-N-Out. So I said okay lets go. I knew half the people that worked there, seeing as they either went to school with me or went to our church.

After I turned in my application I got a interview within a couple weeks and wouldn't you know I started the job within the month. So after I got the job I prayed and asked God why he put me there, there was already so many people from our church working there. Well, he spoke to me and said he put me there because I was the only female from our church. Which meant I wore a skirt (I was the only girl in a skirt)

So I let me lil light shine. I had so many opportunities to speak to coworkers about Christ, answered many questions about why I wore a skirt, why I had hair past my waist, if it was ever cut and what I believed. I never forced myself upon anyone of them.

Well a couple months ago one of the guys started coming every once in awhile. And Sunday night another guy started coming and he even went down to the altar and was almost one of the last ones to leave. I couldnt help but cry. I cant say that "I" did this or any other of my coworkers from church did. I must say God did it. We just let him shine through us. Lil did I know 3 years ago what God would have done through me and my skirt.

On another note. I bought this extremely cute brooch off etsy today! I cant wait for it to get here so i can wear it to church.
