Back to the Grind

Well today I went back to the exercising grind. After 9 days straight of rain it was really nice to get back out there, but since it rained A LOT I couldn't walk around the park which was a MAJOR bummer.

So for those of you who kinda know the Stockton roads, I walk down Quail Lakes Drive towards March Lane and was going to then back and go home, but since it only took me 20min to get to March Lane I kept going onto March and then onto Grouse Run and Back toward home.

(Here is one of the beautiful views from my walk)

That only to turned out to be a lil over a mile so I attempted to walk around the park, but it was EXTREMELY muddy so the walk ended.

I ended up taking: 4956 steps and walking 2.32 miles.

Not as much as I wanted, but seeing as I will be at Landmark the rest of the week I think I will probably get my workout during the services. Cant wait to see everyone there!

"Hold a true friend with both your hands."

Friends mean the world to me! I love every single one of my friends and thank God for them daily.
One friend especially means a lot to me. I met her many years ago probably when I was about 12, she was dating my neighbor. Little did we know what great friends we would become.

We have many memories together, I was there when she got married, when her daughter was born, when she moved to different houses, when her husband joined the marines, when her husband went to boot camp and when she needed someone to go shopping with or get some coffee with or just sit and talk.

She was there when me and Jeff first started talking, when we got engaged, and she even stood up with me when I got married and she even signed our marriage license. She's been with me through a whole lot of stuff, when I needed to get away or when i just needed to talk.We would sit together ever sunday and every wednesday no matter what.

And now even though we live almost 500 miles and about 9 hours away from each other we still remain great friends! She comes up to visit me every once in a while and im going to go down and visit her in a couple months.I appreciate her a lot and respect her a lot and even though I love her I would not want to be in her shoes right now. With her being a wife of a marine, she had to take on the responsibility of being a single mother when her husband was deployed to Afganistan. I dont know how she does it and it makes me respect her even more.

Drina if you ever read this, I love you dearly and cant wait to see you,
you mean a lot to me and thank you for everything!

Sickness, Sickness go away....

Sickness, Sickness go away...never come back, not even another day!

Well I HATE to say it, but my Husband seems to be sick AGAIN! So today we headed back to the Urgent Care. On a side note I must say the people at Trinity Urgent Care are some of the friendliest people ever!!! Back to my story. We thought it was pneumonia again, but they said he was misdiagnosed last time and didn't have pneumonia it was just a bad viral infection and it seems to be a viral infection again, but they did give him a prescription for pneumonia and told him to wait a couple days to see if he feels better before he fills it.
My life is never ending.

I am getting completely annoyed with this annoying sickness.

On a Happier note Landmark is next week.
What a great conference it will be, great speakers, see great friends and have a grand time.

One WHOLE Month

I cant believe it! Where does time go?
One month ago today I got married to my best friend. Its hard to believe that we have been married a month already.

It has been a adventurous first month...
With the few hiccups on the honeymoon...
Here are a few pictures to remind you =D

Then....when we got home Jeff came down sick with pneumonia and now he is better and were have made it to one month.

But even though it has been a adventurous first month. It has been the best month ever because it has been spent with my best friend. I love not having to leave him every night and instead just come home with him.
I love him

Humbled!

Some how, some way, through one blog or another I was introduced to a wife and mother of four named Stephanie "NieNie". This Stephanie isn't just your everyday wife and mother of four.
She is one special and blessed lady.

You see in August of 2008 Stephanie, her Husband (Christian) and their friend Doug were in a tragic plane accident. Christians face and neck were burned, 83% of Stephanie's body was burned and Doug died not to long after the crash. After being in a coma Stephanie is on recoveries end. She has already been through so many surgeries and still has many to go, but even though she has been through all of this she stays positive and still trust God.

Stephanie encouraged and humbled me. There are times and days when i feel i have to worst life and have had the worst day. Now i have been reminded that when i have had the worst day and dont want to go on, I know that there is someone who is having a rougher day than me.

In Shape Day 4!!!

Today is day four of me getting In Shape.

Today I didn't plan on walking since I had to work and didn't get a chance to in the morning. Well, I happened to get off early so I decided to go walking. I normally do 5 laps around the park and it takes me about 45min to an hour and 10min to get around the park once. But, I decided to push myself today and see how fast I could get around the park. I got down to 8min. Along, with pushing myself further I decided to go a extra lap and do 6 laps.

It took me a hour to go 6 laps. I took 6,873 steps and went 3.41miles.

YAY!!!!!

But seeing as I work early tomorrow and Sunday is church is doesn't look like I'll be walking again till Monday.

Getting in Shape!

No, I'm not calling it a weight loss program because every time I say I want to lose weight people always get onto me saying how I don't need to. Well my skirts and shirts tell me different. So I decided instead letting myself gain weight after marriage start getting in shape now and if I just so happen to lose weight while at it then YIPEE!!!!

I started on Tuesday 1/12/10 by walking around our neighborhood park across the street with a great friend and neighbor Jasmin. Since the park is small we walked it four times and I do confess I was exausted and sore, but i was determined to keep up with it!

I went out again yesterday 1/13/10 and it was just such a beautiful day out, but this time I went and got myself a pedometer from Target. This time I again walked it four times and no not on the sidewalk on the grass (its more of a workout) Well from my door, around the park four times and back to my door. I walked 3,313 steps and went 1.55miles. It felt good to say I walked a mile. For me it is so hard to walk a mile on a treadmill, but it was alot easier outside.

Today I went out again and I went earlier today. Boy do I tell you that grass was wet! By the time I got done my shoes and socks were soaked! But, back to the walking part. I decided to push myself a little further and walk around five times. So me, my Ipod, and my pedometer went walking. I timed myself and was able to get around the park in 10 minutes and did the entire walk in 50minutes. By the time I got home I think every bone in my body hurt, but I walked 5,657 steps and went 2.65 miles. YES!!!!! A mile further than yesterday and 2,344 more steps then yesterday. Yippee this is actually fun keeping up with my progress :)

Where are your Priorities?

Starting Sunday night we at Christian Life Center will enter Seven Days of Prayer and Fasting. Tonight Pastor spoke about hearing the voice of the Lord and how things can get in the way of the Lords voice.

As I sat there and listen to the message I began to think..."where are my priorities?" Are they in keeping up with the latest updates on facebook, the lastest shows on hulu, making sure you have the newest clothes?

Yes, all of those are great things to keep you entertained and pleased for the moment, but our priorities should be set on Christ. Yes, you say your priorities are set on Christ, but you do like to keep updated on everything. If you get up in the morning and say "i wonder whats new on facebook or did they upload the newest "The Office" on Hulu" Then no your prioriities are not on Christ.

I want my life to revolve around Christ. From the moment I wake up in the morning to the time I go to bed I want my priority to be Christ. So this next week I am devoting myself to God more then ever and no its not just next week its forever. Its a lifestyle, God is my priority!

Furniture Hunting!!!

Whoever said hunting for furniture was fun was entirely wrong!!!!

Were in the midst of trying to find a good dinning room table at a decent price. Like, when I say decent price i mean like dirt cheap lol Were trying to find something in the $300 price range. Trying to find something that cheap, but yet nice and not built cheap is hard to do.

We have this empty space in our dinning room that im just dying to fill! I think we have found the dinning room table we want but of coarse we have to save up the money for it.

So for whoever is reading this blog, I am extremely board and wanted to write something so here it is.

Oh yes by the way we have now been married for THREE WEEKS its hard to believe its already been three weeks! Boy time flies! So in honor of mine and Jeff's three week anniversary here is another wedding picture!!!!
